Renat Ramazanov

Artist Overview
Renat Ramazanov is a painter associated with the Crimean school of painting, a tradition known for its respect for classical genre principles, plein air practice, and impressionistic sensitivity. His work is characterized by a refined exploration of color and light.

Background
Renat Ramazanov was born in 1978 in Vyshny Volochyok, Russia, and grew up in Crimea, where he graduated from the Alushta Art School in 1993 and the Samokish Crimean Art College in Simferopol in 1998 (painting and teaching department, diploma work “Antique Shop”). He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Russia and works primarily within an expressionist, figurative direction, with paintings held in the collection of the Livadia Palace Museum and in private collections in many countries.

Artistic Language & Themes
A strong sense of observation lies at the core of Ramazanov’s practice. Through subtle tonal relationships and atmospheric depth, he seeks to capture the fleeting qualities of light and emotional presence, emphasizing authenticity and direct visual experience. Each painting is conceived as the expression of a new, pure, and open sensation, while the aesthetic presentation of the work plays an essential role, reinforcing the plastic harmony and emotional clarity of his compositions.

Exhibitions & Recognition
Renat has taken part in numerous exhibitions, auctions, and plein air projects in Limassol, Vilnius, Riga, Crimea, Kyiv, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and other cities, as well as in projects such as ArtKyiv and “Crimean artistic tradition XX–XXI centuries.” His solo exhibitions have been hosted by galleries and institutions including Repinart (Scottsdale, USA), Zalias vejas (Vilnius), KEP Gallery (Simferopol), Raritet-Art (Kyiv), the Museum of the History of Kyiv, A-house and Art-7 in Kyiv, the Russian Drama Theatre in Sevastopol, and White Gallery in Gurzuf.
